Exercise and bipolar disorder

Exercise can improve symtoms of bipolar disorder by: Releasing endorphins, which are chemicals that improve your mood and feelings of welbeing. Releasing other chemicals that are associated with good mood that are typically low in people with depression such as dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine.

Yet 88% of people with bipolar disorder cant work. It has to be related to alcoholism.  It doesn't make any since on its own. I can't work but I can work out. I'm wondering about the schizoaffective disorder.

SCHIZOAFFECTIVE DISORDER

A mental health condition including schizophrenia and mood disorder symptoms.

Schizoaffective disorder is a combination of symptoms of schizophrenia and mood disorder, such as depression or bipolar disorder. Symptoms may occur at the same time or at different times.

Cycles of severe symptoms are often followed by periods of improvement. Symptoms may include delusions, hallucinations, depressed episodes, and manic periods of high energy.

People with this disorder generally do best with a combination of medications and counseling.

I guess mania isn't . wait I just found something.

"can mania be cause by exercise."

These exercises include walking, running, and swimming. However, that same study noted that for other people with bipolar disorder, exercise could exacerbate manic symptoms. It could cause a worsening “spiraling” effect for both manic and hypomanic episodes.
